Artiste interdisciplinaire, Zazalie Zaz (Nathalie Dion) participe sportivement à la vie culturelle depuis 40 ans. Elle trafique l’image, le son, les mots à travers la voix, la vidéo, la musique, la poésie, l’art web et la gravure et demeure active dans toutes les sphères de la création autant dans l’univers de la musique actuelle et expérimentale que dans le domaine des arts visuels et médiatiques. Boursière des Conseil des Arts (Québec et Canada ) et Récipiendaire d’une Bourse de la SOCAN à Toronto elle présente en tant que chanteuse et performeuse ses œuvres musicales et vidéographique dans divers Festivals et Centre d’Artistes ici et à l’étranger. Viva Voce Viva Voz! + Sacred Spirit et Zig Zag Z. ont été diffusées en Espagne; Musée d’art contemporain TEA Tenerife, Festival Espacio Enter (Tenerife, Canaries), au Festival Digital Media et Festival Observatori (Valencia) et LEM Festival (Barcelone) En Italie ; Festival Interazioni (Cagliari,Sardaigne)au Etats Unis; Grace Exhibition Space Gallery (New-York). Au Canada; Naisa Sound Play Festival (Toronto), LABO (Toronto), Factory Art Media Center (Hamilton), Centre d’Artiste Vaste & Vague (Carleton) FIMU (Trois-Rivieres), SHARE au Eastern Bloc, Festival HTMLLES et Festival Voix D’Amériques (Montréal). Elle collabore en tant que chanteuse au Projet Yodel in Hi Fi produit par Darren Copeland et Bart Plantenga diffusé sur les ondes de Radio Naisa (Toronto) et sur Radio Wave Farm in Acra (New York) lors du Festival Deep Wireless à Toronto et sur l’album compilation Yodel OH No Yo! Wreck This Mess (Amsterdam). Auteure et interprète, elle a fait partie des formations musicales Nitroglycérine et Pois Z’ont Rouges et a tourné dans divers festival ; Festival de l’Humour (Bruxelles, Belgique), Montréal Musiques Actuelles et Festival de Musiciennes Innovatrices.
Interdisciplinary artist Zazalie Zaz (Nathalie Dion) has been actively participating in cultural life for 40 years. She manipulates image, sound, and words through voice, video, music, poetry, web art, and printmaking, remaining active across all spheres of creation—both in contemporary and experimental music and in visual and media arts. A grant recipient from the Quebec and Canada Arts Councils and the SOCAN Grant in Toronto, she presents her musical and video works as a singer and performer at various festivals and artist-run centers, both in Canada and abroad. Her works Viva Voce Viva Voz!, Sacred Spirit, and Zig Zag Z. have been shown in Spain at the TEA Contemporary Art Museum (Tenerife), Festival Espacio Enter (Tenerife, Canary Islands), Festival Digital Media and Festival Observatori (Valencia), and LEM Festival (Barcelona). In Italy, her works have appeared at Festival Interazioni (Cagliari, Sardinia).In United States for the Project «Travelling Artist in Time of War» at the Grace Exhibition Space Gallery (New-York).In Canada, she has performed at Naisa Sound Play Festival (Toronto), LABO (Toronto), Factory Art Media Center (Hamilton), Centre d’Artiste Vaste & Vague (Carleton), FIMU (Trois-Rivières), SHARE at Eastern Bloc, Festival HTMLLES, and Festival Voix D’Amériques (Montreal).
